Thanks for the welcome. I will be coming back often. Going to order a new 2010 F150 sometime in the coming months. Kinda waiting to see what engines will be made available.
thanks for the welcome! feeling pretty good having joined this forum after deciding among others...i have limited time on my hands and felt this was like the big boy league
Yup... Bought it. She is now fully embracing her new-found independence (after only two days :-)... but she is also doing her chores with a little more diligence in order to keep her new-found freedom. Good Girl!!!
The Rig starts easy and runs strong. The tires are about shot ('General' ATs), but we're putting her Winter Tires w/ studs on this weekend, so that doesn't matter much. She has six months before she will need a set of Summer AT Tires. The rig has 114k miles on it, so I'm having the steering and front brakes worked-over on Monday, and then having FORD give it the 100k Mile Once-Over before the cold really hits. Has Synthetic Oils all around, a clean K&N, good looking Anti-Freeze and Brake Fluid. No rust or dents. Everything in the drive-train seems pretty solid. The truck seems to have been well taken care of.
Photos soon.
Thanks for the info.
Have you seen Giorgiof150's truck? That's what mine looks like (without the lift kit and the wheels lol) I'm trying to have a nice set up that isn't too crazy, I like yours and Giorgio's so far. And you're right, the Polished finish looks awesome in contrast with the black.
Thanx but still have some issues to iron out with the dealer. Tranny is still shifting funky at around 60/km and getting a lot of wind noise from the front windshield?? They say its fine but I have owned an 04 f150, 06 f150 and a 08 Ranger and never had this problem.
Thanks for the pic.The factory size tires and wheels just look ...plain wrong ,The bigger tires look WAY better. The black tool box on your ride looks good to.That is exactly what I was looking into. No chrome on my STX so a polished aluminum tool box would kinda of throw of the look. I treat mine like a truck but I want it to look good too.
What do you know about little Ford 'Rangers'?
I'm buying my daughter a little '98 Manza B-4000 tonight (esentially a Ford Ranger with a different badge). Seems a good little rig; teal, green extra-cab, 'push-button' 4x4, V6 automatic O/D, little aluminum canopy, a second set of rims & studded snowtires, full Arctic Fluids and most of the Arctic Kit (still needs a Tranny Heater). Owner says he gets over 20mpg on the highway during the summer.
I reckon it will be a good little 'Girls First Truck'. If we like it, maybe we'll bring it down to the Lower-48 when that time comes.
