Thanks, I was a member of an F-150 board quite some time ago, had a 99 4.2L 4x4. I did the import thing for a while, but trucks just kept calling me back.

What type of flares are those? How much more coverage does it give you? Just wondering as my tires stick out about an inch to inch and a half with the fx4 flares. Waiting for an overzealous cop to give me a ticket and then I'll pick up some flares.

Thanks for the comments. Your truck is pretty awesome and I love how the color pops in the photos you've been posting in the forums. It must look really great in person. Took a look at your gallery today and I like your "office" setup.

Thanks for the tips! Gonna stick with these Uniroyals for now...I've pretty much resigned myself to 33"...which are just big enough to give it a more aggressive than stock look.

I've been debating with what upgrades to do...the more I see and read, the more I want to do. But I have to choose wisely on upgrades...because I don't have an limited cash well unfortunately.

I just cut off the mufflers last weekend and am running straight pipes. I was planning on putting a performance muffler on, but heard enough vids on Youtube of folks with straight pipes that I took the chance of it sounding good ...and for sure the price was right! Sure enough...sounds good to me! I'll probably put an Xpipe on it and bring the exhaust straight out the back...but that's a few months away. Was going to get a cold air intake...but am thinking that performance gains really will be negligible and money would be better spent elsewhere, which is why I'm looking to upgrade the shocks.

I seem to have gotten some recent obsession with wanting to build this truck up some. Must be mid life crisis.

I've got a 2002 4x4 Expedition. Mostly stock...just took off stock running boards and put on nerf bars and have been running Uniroyal 285/75/16s for a while now. Looking to upgrade my suspension with some Bilstein shocks and hoping to do some light off roading. THough I'm more poser than anything, because I really don't want to break anything since we rely on this truck to haul us around the country on vacation and stuff!

Here's some pics before I put on the nerf bars:
