Yes, it is. Really adds to the fun of owning one of these trucks. Good luck

Thanks again for the very much needed heads up! This place is fantastic for making sure you get things done right. There are so many ins and outs; especially for a beginner like myself!

Putting 2" shackles on by themselves will change the angle of the driveshaft in relation to the pinion(the rear end). Some have experienced a vibration, some haven't. Regardless, the angle change can not be real good, over time. Buy a kit such as Ground Force offers, that includes wedges. They go in the axle perch and restore the proper angle. Make sure you installation price included the wedges.

The wedges?
I have been offered the job done for $150 here in Houston. But no mention of any such wedges. Just the shackles.
I am clueless on this so just want to do my homework correctly as always!

It was about 4 years ago at a Fort Worth truck shop. Paid about $95 for the kit and they charged me $40 for the installation, which was way cheap for the installation. If you are ever up DFW way, get Patrick to install them. He does very good work and knows what he is doing on suspension. Be sure to get the wedges installed.

Bluyjay: Can you tell me what the cost of putting your rear lowering shackles on was?
