Hey Gator, things are going great here. The truck is normally in storage now-a-days; since my daughter was born in May, having a demanding career, and just overly busy in everyday life I have not had much time to mess with it. I try to drive it about once a month if I can. I honestly feel kinda bad for her, even after she took a dump on me last year, plus ordering a Raptor.. she may feel like I have moved on! lol..

How have you been lately, its been quite a while since I have seen you posting up!

Matt, thank for the info on the tonneau.

Thank you for the kind words, appreciate it!!! As far as TOTY, still a lot of time, anything can happen. You definitely have one hell of a truck Matt.....It belongs on a Magazine cover!!! You have built a beautiful truck!!

Mine use to be a DD, but about a year and a half ago it became a weekend truck....I do pick up my 10yo daughter from school on Thursdays with it, she said the other kids like to see the Lambo doors LOL....She says she can't wait to drive it when she turns 16!!!! (I roll my eyes when she says that haha)

    Bert,
I hear ya on the roll and lock types; they carry a hell of a steep price! As for my Extang RT it does its job. Covers the bed nicely and is low profile so its extremely unnoticeable, especially on lifted trucks like ours. It does let in some water at the tailgate and front of the bed, but its usually just a bit after washing or a good rain. For the price I don't think it can be beat! If I took the time to put a bit more weatherstripping around the front, under the rails and around the tailgate I think it would keep out 98% of the elements; with a tailgate seal I bet it could be 99%...lol

My brother has the Extang Revolution (there latest low-pro cover I think) and it is pretty nice too. I'm not sure how it does on keeping the elements out; I'm going to say its probably about the same as the RT. The difference is the Revolution relies on tension only on the tarp (pretty sure on this being velcro free); the RT has the velcro edges and tensions when you shut it.

Overall I'm very happy with my RT, and I believe he is very happy with his Revolution. I like the fact it rolls up out of the way completely; even though I hardly need it opened. I wasn't looking to spend a ton on a cover; just wanted it to keep my stuff dry, out of sight, secure, and possibly eek out some more mpg's on the highway. After about 3 years of service I'd say I have no regrets.

As for TOTY, I think you have that one wrapped up! Its a hell of a truck you have built and very deserving; the definition of a show truck! I like to show my truck as a reward for all the work and money I have put into it; but I don't think I have reached the level your at....yet lol. You don't drive that bad boy everyday do you (probably ask you this before when we talked..)?

    -Matt

Hey Matt, how do you like you Extang RT tonneau? Any leaking issues? Thinking about getting a cover. Would love a roll/lock, but don't want to spend that much.

Btw, good luck on the TOTY, gonna be a close race. Thank you again for your nomination, I wouldn't be there if it weren't for you!

Definately, Cleaning the undercarriage is a pain in the ass.. But the upside is when your up there like us you dont have to lay on your back, and most stuff is fairly easy to reach/clean.

    Thanks, I appreciate it.

The only part I hate about it showing it is having to clean the under carriage LOL What a pain!

Thanks man, hopefully by the end of this year it will be as 'all around' show worthy as yours! Good luck in the March Truck of the Month contest!
