I think I'll take a stab at installing my CAI and ThrottleBody Spacer tomorrow.
I got my orders yesterday. The move is set now.

Finally mounted my HiLift Jack on the front Bulkhead of my bed. Since I could not reach between the Cab and the Bed to thread a nut, I had to use 'self tapping' metal screws. Since there are eight mounting holes on the plates and I used as large screws with the finest thread as I could find, and I mounted the brackets vertically for the least mechanical moment, the whole assembly seems on there pretty darn firm (I can stand on it).
If over time and vibration the sheet metal begins to fatigue, I'll figure out a way to back the mounting plates with bolts, nuts & washers.
Photos soon.

Outstanding, back where it all began... Ft. Lewis is only about six hours from Roseburg... Now the house hunting begins... To bad about all those taxes that WA has but you will certainly be back home, almost...

News is that I'm relocating to Seattle (Fort Lewis) after all. Be there in Mid-January. Back to the PNW!!!

Ryan,
I do have the Lightforce 170 Striker driving lights still in the original package... I just have not had the time to have the light bar fabricated yet... Remember, I had to send the first ones back because they sent me the wrong lights... There was no way the 240 XGTs were going to fit... I'm glad to here they work well under severe darkness... I have those conditions right now with the rainy nights here in the Cascades... Also that 1940 Ford truck certainly is a very cool rig and I just had to post that picture... I can dream...

I was going to tell you... Coming back from my Great Northern Adventure last weekend, we drove a fair amount in the pitch black dark (no moon, no street-lights, no painted lines or reflectors on the dirt highway).
I Loved My LIGHTFORCE lights with the light yellow Fog/Spot Combo lenses. They really did the job. Illuminated very well laterally out to about 160 degrees, while still sending a very nice spot pattern far forward. Great for seeing the road ahead and critters in the ditches.
I highly recommend the light Yellow Fog/Spot Combo lenses.

Your daughter's truck looks real nice... Plus I can tell she is one happy camper... Love the color...

Posted the girl's truck on my 'Old Truck' album.
Not a bad little rig. Did a little work on the front suspension and had the brake rotors turned. Other than that, at is a good little runner. We'll likely bring it south with us.

Hey JD-
Good to hear your report. Just got back from the Brooks Range today. Little 600 miles Road Trip and Rock Climbing. Darn Good Adventure! Absolutely Amazing Country. Mountains, Animals, Northern Lights... makes you feel 'really small' in the world.
No major problems on the trip (just a chipped windshield - cost of doing business up here). Fefay ran great. Would have liked to have the MtnCats, but the tires I had did fine. No 'flats' or bad Wx (actually the Wx what absolutely Beautiful), but I was prepared for about anything. Posting photos.
I have not installed the CAI and stuff yet. My Dad is coming up to visit in a couple weeks. Thought we'd do the install as a little Father-Son-Grandson project while they are here.
More later.

Ryan, what's up... Have you installed your CAI yet? If you have did you notice any problems with your truck running lean?
Here's a follow up, long term report, on my tires on wet roads... Yes, it has been raining on and off here in the Cascades... The Toyos are working extremely well on wet curvy mountain roads... Very grippy even where the water has puddled... I think the Rancho shocks have also increased the stability of my truck with the inclement weather... I can't wait to see how they will handle in the snow... But that is probably several months away... Tire wear has been minimal if any... 2,000 miles on the tires at this point...
I will be looking forward to hear about the throttle body spacer when you get the time..
Later...
