This is what happened to my old rig when I took it off road... Really I had to pick up something to compete with your classic '53... Now this is the real story, it's a picture from my trip to New Zealand last February. I saw it and had to take the picture. Not sure of the manufacturer. I email this image to my friends and told them it was my rental. Can't you see the right hand drive?

YOU REALLY WANT ME TO GET HER DIRTY? Here we go with all of my excuses... It has been a very busy summer for me. I am in the process of hiring my own boss. I am on the selection committee for the new ABS Director. The first three candidates, from all over the country, did not make the grade. So we are starting from scratch. We need have someone in place before fall term. The next situation that is slowing me down, at least for the past few weeks, has been the Williams Creek Fire. I know it is not to the scale of the wild fires that take place in Alaska, but at 13 square miles, 8,400 acres and only ten mile away it is significant. It has closed hwy 138 and many of the back country roads. There actually has been four local fires. Dry lightning is the cause on three of the fires and the Williams Creek fire is under investigation. They have over 1,100 people, 6 choppers, 40 engines, one air tanker, and all the students at WCJC that are in Forestry and are certified. As for snow, I still have a couple of months to go before that is an issue. What I am disappointed about is how this situation is limiting my summer fly fishing schedule. I think that ends cry baby list. What's happening in your realm? Anything exciting? I will be taking a four day weekend in September, maybe I'll get the chance to do something then. But then comes the college football season. I have some friends that are really "nuts" when it comes to college football. We always get together during the fall and go crazy. They just don't understand my affinity for UCLA and not the Oregon teams. It's my school what can I say...

    That's life...

    Later...

I certainly do... You have a whole new world awaiting you... Look at the bright side, new car, more gas, and insurance... What are fathers made for anyway??? Just another step in journey through life... If your hair has not started to turn grey it will...

I love the first picture of that classic '53 pickup... But I certainly would not want to sit on my hood... Talk about being strong, vehicles from the fifties must have used 1/4 inch sheet metal for the body... what a wonderful legacy for your son...

Frontiersman, Thanks for the comments. I have seen others with the inside of the rear wheelwells painted. I really would like to get to that. We have had such crappy weather here this summer, that my projects are getting backed up. Oh well, eventually.

The EM field does not make my truck glow in the dark... It just makes me glow in the dark and shuts down all communication within a quarter mile radius...

Thanks man... Heavily recommend this setup. Has a nice growl, but quiets right down in the cab. I will say tho, where you are in snow and possibly salt frequently from what it appears, spend the extra and get stainless piping too.. it's very worth it. I didn't need it for now, but after college I will be :D
