Appreciate the compliment. So far 265/70/17 tires I'm about 1/2 way through. Smittybilt bull bar, Edge Evolution (Best Mod) ES3000 rear shocks. Fat Bobs AAL, and Procomp 3" leveling kit.
I am currently thinking about buying a Smittybilt 10k winch but I have to make sure my boss is OK with me using our steel. Then the Bull Bar will come off.

HAHA, yeah I drove my dad's 200 Dodge ram 3500 15 passenger van for 8 months and I really just took it carefully. I would back off and let it upshift and I do that with the F-150 now. Yeah that is the best way to drive, definetely saves gas money and less wear on the vehicle. I hope to get a few mods done in the coming months, I'll put up pics as I go. Take care

Thanks a bunch man. yeah, I drive like a granny, my friends in school all make fun of me lol. I plan on doing a luxury look for the truck, with a hint of performance/sport. I'll dress the front end a bit like a Harley and have a twin scoop ram air hood, and have 20" wheels, ect, but all very tasteful. Not gaudy at all. Interior: woodgrain eventually like a Lariat. Nice looking F-150 yourself :)

Yeah... the 255s look like little 'low rider' donuts or something. The 255s were actually a dealer upgrade from the 245s that it had on when unloaded from the car-carrier. I about laughed. I didn't have to say a word - the dealer saw it in my face. "Yes Sir - we'll take care of that right away".
An hour later I at least had some fair 255 ATs on. Better than nothing with the winter coming on at the time.
The Speedo reads about 4% fast with the 255s (says my GPS), so I think with the 285s, it will not be too far off on the other side (within a couple %). Keep me out of tickets, I hope. My old truck was 8% the whole time I owned it, and managed with only one ticket in 18 years (in Texas - I might add, between Lampassas and Austin). I got out of it due to a previously clean record. Nice DPS Ranger didn't want to be the one to bust my perfect record, I reckon.

Very nice truck....looks like your getting it well adapted to the environment up there, but IMO, you do definitely need some 285's. Take care

Thanks for the comments. As for the decals....they came off real easy, just got the hair dryer and heated them up a bit then used a credit card to pick up a corner of it. As the decal started coming off, I pulled slowly while at the same time followed behind it with the dryer....came off easier than any other decal I've removed. Btw, it all came off in one piece.

The bug deflector....yeah, I will probably put it back on eventually. As a matter of fact, I'll probably do that this afternoon. While it may not keep rocks off my windshield, it does definitely protect the hood in general, lip and all. I have an occasional rock chip on the sides of the truck, nothing major, just a small nick here and there, but the hood is still pretty much intact.

Yeah, I measured the level between the wheelwell and tires the other day and found the difference to be pretty much exactly 2.5". I don't think that will be a priority right now, but it will be something I keep in mind to do in the future. I understand the concern over your old truck being handed over to that teenage kid...I've had quite a few old Fords in my time and each one has been hard to let go of when the time came. I'm pretty confident in saying, though, that I won't be driving anything other than Ford.

I don't take my truck offroad too much, and even though it is only a 2wd, but I'm sure of the BFG's not letting me down if I decide on ripping through some mud, dirt or sand. We had actual snowfall down here in south Texas back in '04 and the BFG's that I had on my '99 didn't let me down.

I'm with you when it comes to brushed aluminum rims....I like my stock rims so I don't think that I will be switching them out anytime soon.

Forgot to mention that I'm also thinking of a 2.5" leveling kit to even things out.....

Thanks for the kind words.....as for my BFG's, they fill out the wheelwell nicely and don't rub at all. There were very minor differences in mileage and speedometer, not enough to ruffle my feathers. The general performance is awesome. I haven't messed with the motor, other than a drop-in K&N filter, and a K&N Performance Gold oil filter with some Mobil 1....but just with those minor changes, the throttle response improved greatly and the motor just purrs when I'm on the highway. My next mod is going to be a Magnaflow exhaust. I like to keep things simple....

Your ol' truck is sweet....bet you had alot of fun with it up there
