    Thanks for the compliment.
Its a 2005 5.4 liter fx4 with 31k miles. Its a fun truck. Ive had it for almost 3 years now. I bought it the way it is with 8500 miles. The rims are actually 17" pro comp alloys and I just had those old swampers replaced with some firestone mt's. They look great! Some other mods are: stillen muffler, K&N intake, level kit, and a dvd player that I never use.
The truck is what a truck should be..........usable! I do like those trucks with big lifts, but I also like being able to load stuff in the back without breaking mine.lol.

    Thanks

Hey, this is how i did it! here
also as you can see in the pics, i did not have to drill anything on the truck. the brackets were purchased at lowes, and came pre-drilled and everything!
let me know if you have anymore questions.
    good luck!

Hey, Frontiersman. Thanks for visiting my page and thanks for the compliments on my truck. To answer you questions, yes, I do have the 2" leveling kit by AS. The tires are 325/65-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers that I bought used from a guy in the area. The only rubbing issues I had was backing up at near full lock. The tires were rubbing the inside of the fender flares behind the front tires. This was a simple fix as I took a pair of shears and trimmed a small piece of the plastic flare inside the wheel well. If you don't know it was done, you would never notice it. I did get some 1/4" spacers made to go behind my wheels just to be on the safe side and get the tires a tad bit farther away from the upper control arm. Keep in mind I am running the stocker wheels. As for the gas mileage, it looks like it is going to take about 2 miles per gallon from my average. I am still tweeking on the speedo with my edge programmer to get it tuned in on the proper mph according to my gps. Power has not been that big an issue. I can tell the tires are bigger, but there is not that big a drop off in power, especially with the Edge tuner. I love the looks of my truck with the 35's, but when it is time to buy new tires I don't know if I will go back with a 35. Maybe a 34, but who knows, just have to wait and see. For now I am enjoying the looks of the 35's! Let me know what you decide to go with if you buy new tires. I like the Nittos, but I also like the goodrich ta-ko's.

AAL = Add A Leaf. You basically add a leaf to the rear pack. I have had 20 80lb bags of cement in truck since then. I'm glad I got it. the truck levels when towing. it doesnt dip. and it's about twice the price for new blocks but it increases your payload.

They do make a receiver that bolts to the front of your truck. expect to pay between $120-200 and up if it comes with brushguard and all. I've tried to fond a decent picture, even on google and havent so far.

I know its awesome!! I work a lot and saved like it was my religion. I got a hell of a deal, probably a deal of a lifetime, only has 36k on it and all sorts of factory and aftermarket add-ons. I paid it in full (private sale)... I fell into one hell of a truck!

I highly suggest you look into a programmer. I bought mine new for $350 and get 35 extra ponies and 50+ftlbs torque. I am very pleased. Gotta speeding ticket the first day I had it. I am up and down pipeline right of way alot so a winch would help. I'd make a front receiver so I could remove. The hidden winch is expensive and only come with 50' of line.

Yes that is true; I kept that van really nice, constant waxing, tire blackening (my favorite). I returned it to my bad in better shape that when he let me have it and I shampooed the carpets as well. It's nice to hear that you still have your chevy, I hope to keep mine, especially considering I take care of it and the sentimental value. It's funny how getting my truck stopped all the van comments, because now I have one of the nicest vehicles up at school, and the best part, paid for it myself, and its all paid off :)
