    No it does not look bad at all. Your truck looks great, but if it were mine I would black out the tips. If you did not get them stainless then they are going to turn a nasty brownish-yellow over time anyways. Just saying though, but IMO the red fx4 decals look out of place. Patriot decals could get you some black and grey ones and that would look awesome! Im not sure if you agree on the blue ford emblem or not but ask KR-texas how he painted his ford emblem. You essentially have the same truck as him(color-wise) and it looks really good on his truck.

    PNW = "Pacific North-West".
    All of your options sound pretty good. I've sniffed at the Border Patrol as a possible second career after I'm done with this gig... but while I speak good 'West Canadian', I don't speak very much Mexican or French, so I figure that limits my options with that organization some.
    Good luck with our plan.

    As for Alaska, you get used to it fairly quickly (or you die)... but it is a 'Dry Cold'. HaHa!

    Well... I maybe be going to Washington, too... actually more likely than going to Flagstaff. I have two choices there; Yakima & Spokane. Flagstaff is actually 5th on my list of possibilities behind Colorado Springs. We'll see.
    Let me know if you get up Washington way. I'm a PNW Boy myself, having grown-up in Oregon and I have family all around there (Loggers, Ranchers, Guides, Pilots, Cops, Firemen...) I may be able to tell you some stuff.

    Thanks for the Oil Info.

    Oil Question - I'm thinking that you live in some high temperature country, if around Tucson... and you have a dark colored Rig. What weight of engine oil are you running?
    I use the FORD Motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic in both my Rigs in Alaska, which is fine for the range of temps we have there... but I was thinking of ramping up to a 5W-30 or 10W-30 when I get back down to the Lower-48 and warmer Wx - especially if it is in the desert.
    I ran Penzoil 10W-40 year-round in my old F-150 for nearly 300k miles without any problems what-so-ever, but I don't think the new Fords like their oil that thick.

    Your thought?

    120 miles SE of Tucson? It has been many years since I've been through Tucson, but ain't 120 miles to the South East in MEXICO?
    Can you do that - go 4x-ing in Mexico around there?

    I lived in El Paso for a little while in the mid-'80s - the last time I have been in that area of the country. I never took a vehicle across the border.

    As for Arizona, however, I am looking at a possible job in Flagstaff within the next year. What do you know about the area?

    I bought a set of badge inlays from Patriot which consists of three F150 in large font and Triton 5.4 in small font. Only the side badges have the Triton 5.4 (the tail gat badge just says F150) so I ended up with one extra. Since I didn't pay the $40 for the Saleen emblem along with my grill I stuck the remaining Triton 5.4 sticker I had left in the space allocated for the Saleen emblem.
