alright i figured that, the pipe thatl be changed to 3'' will be from the muffler to the stock Y pipe?
-
not quite, for a dual outlet chambered muffler its better to have a thicker inlet so the velocity flow path can hit at the right pressure and flow through it. I would definitely suggest having the stock intermediate pipe upgraded to 3" for optimal performance, flow, and sound gain. But having the 3" inlet fabbed to the stock intermediate pipe will work.
-
but the stock pipe size is 2.5 right? if i get the 3 inch inlet then the shop will have to change the muffler-forward pipe to 3 inch and cost more right
-
if its a SI/SO keep it 2.5". If SI/DO go for the 3" in 2.5" out.

darren whats up my gf wants a super 44 on her 2006 4.6. do i need a 2.5 inch inlet or 3 inch inlet on the muffler? im thinkin 2.5...

I borrowed a milwaukee one from my friends friend, bought 4 of those $17 blades, only needed two, but I was very happy with the outcome of the job instead of returning the other two unused i tossed them in the case as a thank you to the other guy.
