    Thanks for the quick response! That is a pretty hefty cost, so it would be hard to talk myself into it. I dont drive it a whole lot...mainly to work and back and then occaison when I haul my 4 wheeler. Just looking for alternatives for when we get to the $4 a gallon in may. Thanks again.

    No, I never did any conversion, but there are a couple of companies in Tulsa that perform them. I believe the overall cost was close to $8K or so, but you get a tax credit of about half I believe for alternative fuel conversions. The question you need to ask is whether or not you intend to keep the truck long enough to recoup the cost of the conversion in fuel cost. You'd need to estimate how many miles you drive per year and the avg mpg's as well. That would give you the break even point. Nice to see another Okie on the board!

    I know this was an old post but did you ever make any head way on the cng conversions? I drive a 2006 f150 and am kind of interested in converting. I live in Tahlequah and we now have 2 stations in town and only cost $1.15. With my truck only getting 11 mpg in town it would only make sense to check into it. Thanks
