Hi I was wondering if I could ask a question of you about shifting of a 1997 f150 in and out of 2hi 4 hi 4 lo? I have one that quit shifting acted like it was in "neutral" then finely found 2lo. If I played with it enough it would maybe eventually shift from 2 to 4 to 4 lo sometimes and back. I replaced the shift motor and GEM (gem from bone yard but fixed 1/2 the problem so) So the way it sits now is if switch is in 2 lo when I first turn key on truck "shifts into 2 lo" if I switch is in 4H when first turned on truck shifts into 4H if I try and change the shift with truck\key on nothing the dash lights follow the actual transfer case position. I'm very confused on this one. have searched all over these forums and the internet too and have not seen anything similar to this. I say in a post you seem to understand alot about the operation of this so I hoped maybe you might have a idea?? Thank You ALOT!!!! I really appreciate your time and hate to bother you but desperate

You said you made a tool to get the S spring in the traction lok back in---- do you have a description or a picture of this tool so I could try to replicate it? Thanks
