i was reading one of your replies to someones trans problem.
when i noticed you said you where former ford trany, enginer...
i have 98 f150 4x4 136,265 miles on it the truck has auto trans. E40d. i got the truck at 101,165 miles

the trany now slams when shifting between 1 & 2 gears. it is automatic.

the trany aparantly has already been replaced once with jasper trany....

if you have any idea or suggestions i would be glad for any and all help...........thanks jimmy

First off i wanted to say its kinda creepy how similar your name is to mine, im Mark Kokolsky lol. But the reason i wanted to send you a message is to ask you a quick question about installing a tranny temp guage. Ive read in many of your posts that you can put it into the test port on these trucks. Mine is a 2004 Ford F150 5.4L FX4 with the 4R75E tranny. Ive just been looking for the test port and wanted to see if you can confirm where it is. I found a spot on the drivers side of the transmission which has the word line stamped into the case right next to it. It looks to be about the same size as the sensor im looking to put in. Am i correct? Is this the right spot?
