I found Roseburg, Oregon when a friend of mine move here. I came for a visit and fell in love with the country. I didn't know how a person could make the move either. Here is where my education came in to play. I just picked up and made the move. After arriving, two days later, I went out to the local community college, UCC. One week after I arrived I started teaching, the rest is history. I now live 28 miles up in the Cascades and I teach for the college at Wolf Creek Job Corps. The Forest Service and the college have an agreement that the college provides the educational component of the students' training. Plus it's only one half mile from my home. That's the story...

It's a small world. I was born in Melrose Park. I lived in Maywood as a child. I have fond memories of the area. Now I live in God's country. I don't have to lock my doors, very little crime, and clean air. Plus there is no traffic, no sales tax, and my trucks registration is $116 for four tags. By the way the fly fishing is great on the North Umpqua River. That's Oregon for you...

I certainly don't mind. That is what this site is for, to share ideas, information, and gain knowledge. It's a great deal of fun to talk and listen to people with the same interests from around the country. I live in the Oregon Cascades but Illinois is where I am from.

Thanks for the comments about my truck... I have spent a great deal of time and money on getting it the way I want... It has to be original for me and not look like many other trucks...
