Hey medic not sure where your from, but if you get nfabs and want to get rid of your old step bars, let me know. I think I am just going to buy some stock nerf bars. If your up for it. One medic to another.

Hey, just some info to pass along. Was reading your coversation w/ 05BlackFX4 and thought I'd make a suggestion. Just reading your question about painting the side steps. For an "option B", I had a guy who does tape detailing put a matte black layer of tape on mine. He does a lot of the new Mustangs, Cameros, Challengers with the black racing stripes on the hood. In my opinion, it came out pretty good (and cheaper/lower labor than painting them). I was told by a body shop that painting or rust coating over the aluminum may chip fairly easily and then look like crap when the shiny alum underneath shows up. Mine were done this summer, so I can't testify to the tape holding up yet, but so far so good. Just my 2 cents....

Thanks bro...its VERY easy to do and comes out great. I would recommend removing the black insert in the step bars and painting them seperately. My paint has began to crack around the edges from the contant foot traffic on the corners of the paint. Other than that, holding up great.
