The wire harness in the mirror is pretty short, so I took the mirror off so it was easier to work on. I've heard of guys swapping or adding pins and reusing the factory connectors, but I just found the wires I needed and cut them at the plug. Then spliced on a wire that was long enough to go into the door panel a ways.

Run a wire from the door sill through the grommet in the kick panel and follow the other factory wires up to the door, making sure you have plenty of slack with the door open and close. Connect that wire with the one coming from the mirror, I used easy disconnect wires in case I need to take the mirror off again.

Then splice the wire by the door sill into your brake/turn wire, I used quick-splice connectors I got at NAPA.

Double check the wires before you splice them though, i'm not 100% on which ones are the brake/turns

Wish I could, but all the wires and everything are tapped and loomed up...
I think the drivers side wire is green/orange and the passengers is blue/orange. Your best bet would be to get a Chiltons guide and look at the wiring diagram for the brake/turn lights.

It won't be that good in the long run. The plan is to sell it pretty soon. I really hate to, as I love that truck. Going to miss it.

The taillights I have are made by Hella and are part of a kit that also includes the third brake light. I actually bought them from a shop local to me, and paid $299.99. I did some quick searching for you and the best deal that I saw was from 4wheelparts.com. They have them listed for $294.99, but if you are looking at buying in the next day, you can take advantage of their 4th of July sale and get 15% off. $265.49 is a pretty good deal when you consider TireRack.com wants $424.00 haha.

Here is a link to the lights at 4wheelparts. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lighting-...n=HLA009608801
