Hey - just noticed your setup - looks real good! Did you have any issues with the rims coming close to the brakes? Hope it went well - again - looks great.

THANKS!!! MPG on this truck was never very good to begin with..I have a heavy foot!!! I pull a 6x12 enclosed trailer with overdrive off....I usually get 11-12MPG. As far as what the mileage was before the lift and tires ... I dont know never kept track. My truck definately needs re-geared!! Just waiting for some extra cash .. As far as the lift my hitch is in the factory location(body lift) No modifications!! Pulls my trailer just fine!!

I looked at your wheel on rimzoneonline. If there is an issue I think it could be taken care of pretty easy if need be. Good luck with it and I think those rims will look great on your truck and with the backspace should tuck in nicely.

    No problem with helping out.
    1. The initial rubbing was very slight. It was due to the design of my rims. There are many people on this forum who run backspacing 6" or more. I ordered all 4 rims and was willing to pay a restock fee if there was an issue where they would not work. I was initially concerned with the tire rubbing on the upper control arm. I am not familiar with you rim and dont want to guess how it will fit. Fixing my rubbing issue was extremely minor - I cant stress that enough. I did not have to grind the whole seam off the casting. I could have ground a 1/4" horizontal strip at the point of contact and it would have cleared it up. When the wheels were mounted they still turned. Only reason it was noticed it rubbed a shiny spot on the caliper housing.

2 - From researching on this forum before - the only balljoint issues I have read were from putting 3" leveling kits on- not 2.5". I have no issues but my truck is low mileage. Even if I do it is still far cheaper to replace balljoints than paying for a lift kit.

3 - Not sure on mileage loss. I did this work without ever driving my truck on the highway as I am working in LA. I took a trip home to Missouri and averaged 15.5mpg and drove at least 75mph. I left with 700 miles on my truck and put another 3500 on roundtrip. That was my first time I could check my mileage.

4 - No surprises. I had to trim the front bumper lower plastic with the tire/wheel combo I put on. I knew I had to do this from what others have posted here. Will try to have pics of that up tomorrow night. Minor thing to do with a razor knife.

5 - No other issues except my speedometer is off about 4mph. I am getting the hypertech programmer to clear this up and it will give me 3 different tune options. My tires clear the UCA fine, my truck rides better, and couldn't be happier with the changes.

Advice - I dont know where you got your rims. Most places will let you return them as long as a tire has not been mounted on them. As I said before - try one rim out for fitment. Personally I think it will be fine - but that is my opinion. I will look up your rims here in a bit and see how things look and will leave you a message.
