mdf is medium density fiberboard and yea you can get it a lowes. you could probably change a few dimensions so that the console flips up ill get mine to you soon when i get the chance im working on some other projects and school

well lets just make an assumption then since your not sure what airspace is required. ive had two sets of 10"s one set needed 1cubic ft per sub and the other the slim ones i have now need at least .75 cubic ft per sub so thats a good starting place. i can give you the dimensions on mine if you want but it will in some ways restrict the way you can move the passenger side front seat back. with my box currently there is about equal to almost slightly more leg room in the rear seat than the front in my optimal position with the console. there is still enough room for a 6'3" tall person in the front/ about 6' in the back so it works out but to flip up the seat has to go forward but thats not really an issue since i only roll with someone riding hump on rare occasions with my 5 speed. also im 6' and can have my seat back in a comfortable position to drive but if was over 6'3" it might be a problem since the box is as almost as wide as the rear middle seat. its made from 3/4" MDF from home depot about 20 bucks a sheet which isnt bad.

thanks. id be happy to help. i checked out your album and saw your current box and it looks to me like there is no rear leg room. first you need to know what airspace your subs require at a minimum than you can get your dimensions after that. i built mine before i had a center console so its not exactly designed for the new seat but still works. (small issues but doesnt effect the functional part)

yea i made it my self. it wasnt too dificult and it was the only way to keep my back seat and have enough airspace for the subs.
