That is an AOPA decal, been a member for a few years now. Don't have much time logged, but I'm studying Aviation Technology. Good for you about OCS, I was slated to go the last three summers. Every year something has kept me from going. I had a contracted flight slot this summer and it fell through, had some problems with my OSO. Get some!

It will cause it to ride a little stiffer and it will increase the angles on your ball joints. Overall its not that bad though. There is no way to get around your ball joint angles unless you go to a full suspension lift. The one the you MUST do is get an alignment done after you make the adjustment or it will eat up your tires.

So far, I just did it this past winter but its been through snow, ice, salt, mud, everyday rocks from the road. But I also put a few coats of clear coat to help.
