I bet you have a 4R70W. Not to worry though if you do because I build these transmissions so that they will handle what people want to do with them. Let me know what you find out as to what you have and I would be glad to help you out any way I can.

heres a link to my story.. I had new rotors, rotor bearings, input shaft, shaft bearings installed along with having the case machined to get rid of the scratches, a new pulley. oh and a little machine work I couldnt get one of the four allen head screws out that hold the blower to the intake David Gonzales @ Magnuson is who I talked to I think he did the work ... http://www.f150online.com/forums/sup...oken-nose.html

post your grinding problem in the S/C fourm including as much info as you have about the sound and the time it happens.. but it sounds like a timming issue AKA pinging but maybe the guys can help us out there

do you have this alternator brace?? is this where the missing bolt is?? i know nordvik72 was missing it from his used kit but he was going to make one up.. (I took this pic for him so he could see one) are u sure there is a bolt busted of in there ?? is the oil leaking out of the 2 intake halves right there or just the bolt hole?? Im thinking if its comming out of the hole that hole leads to your intake and its prolly doing that under boost, oil will make its way past the PCV into the intake on boosted engines, (and then out your hole lol) but it could sucking air/ debris under vacum witch would be bad..do you have a boost guage? whats the vac read under idle ?? are you running the FMU?? (big silver thing on the drivers side fuel rail) get me your email address and ill email you the PDF file instuctions that I got from AED before they shut down
    wow im long winded

Pretty good the 14th was my b-day lol.... sweet you got the same set up I gots...The supercharger has a self-contained oiling system that does no require a fluid change for the life of the vehicle unless damage occurs. The fluid level should be checked at 30,000 mile intervals, or if visual signs of leakage occur. usally around the snout..Checking oil levels can be done by removing an Allen head plug located at the front of the supercharger. The oil level should be at the bottom of the fill plug threads when cold. If the level is low, add a synthetic supercharger fluid the only part # I have is by GM but they used m90 in GTP's its 12345982... yes the bosch pump is much nicer and was an upgrade I did... now to upgrade the heat exchanger itself.... 8 pounds sound fun I'm still at a stock 6lb. the rattle is weird I wouldn't think the heat exchanger not pumping would cuase a rattle in the snout..I would keep an eye/ear out for the noise agian and try to move the pulley by hand and see if the grinding is in the snout.. how many miles on the truck?? do you know how many miles on the blower??...my blower was rebuilt after I notice a grinding sound in the case..
