Thanks, I will give them a shot when I have some spare time.

What is generally recommended for the type of oil? I heard they were using a synthetic blend but wasn't sure if the engine ran better on conventional, synthetic, or a blend. Thanks!

Hi - I just recently took ownership of a 2010 f-150 with the 5.4. It was a fleet truck so there is high miles on it. 117k. I'm not sure if the plugs have been done so I've been doing research and I've heard the horror stories of breaking plugs etc. A couple of local shops want close to $500 to change the plugs. I've have seen your name come up in a lot of the plug posts so thats why I'm messaging you.

Has ford fixed the plug issue for the 2010 models?

I did see that there was a parts/tools list you put together. I'm sure I can do the job but just wanted to know what I was getting into ahead of time.

Will I need the Lisle tool?

Any other thoughts are much appreciated. I did use the search function but was overwhelmed with all of the posts regarding this issue and was hoping you could provide me with some information. Thanks in advance!

    Hey 88,
Haven't talked to you for a while.I seen a thread you and Az were talking about tie down delets.Just wondering if anything came of it?Also about water in the cavity & dripping out.I had a thought about getting some closed cell foam and forming(cutting)to fit the cavity.I would think if it were a little over sized so it compressed when every thing was back together,it would keep water out.Any thoughts ?

    Later Bud,
    Jack
