    Thanks for the response. I re-installed my stock 3rd brake light with the "filiment" bulb, plus I re-installed filiment bulbs in my tail light lenses (removed the LED's from them too). My cruise works. I will next re-install the LED bulbs in the rear taillight lenses and try that. I'm pretty sure the cruise will work this way too, as I doubt Ford would have used the rears for brake "detection" in the cruise circuit; it has two bulbs insted of the single one in the 3rd brake light, plus trailer wiring splices into the rear brake wiring, which would add more resistance (and bulbs)!

    I haven't recieved a lot of info regarding the lost cruise control issue, I have the recon third brake light and so do many other members, they haven't had problems, not sure if it's a 2006 thing or what, the only solution I have seen is someone wired in the socket for the original third brake light and just hid the bulb behind the light, so the truck still thinks the light is on and therefore cruise still works, haven't done anything on mine yet tho..
