No work I know of, but I think the reason is most of your recent posts have been in General Discussion. GD posts do not add to post count.

2.5" will work. Keep it all 1 size, so keep it all 2.5". Changing sizes kills your performance.

Old Truck. Thanks! It was a fine old rig and I did have a lot of fun with her. It took me all over the country and then some for nearly 300k. I didn't baby her, but I didn't whip her either, unless I really needed to (there were times, but not many). I took it where I wanted it to go without breaking anything. Religious maintenance, letting it warm-up, and smooth driving made it last a really long time. I got a good sale price for it too. I've seen the teenage kid driving her since. Not a smooth driver. I hope he does not kill her. I don't know why I care.

I did the 2in Leveling Kit on my 07 XLT. I mail-ordered a kit and had a local shop install them. It seemed easy enough, I should have done it myself instead of paying what I did for the shop. Seperating the upper A frame would be the toughest part. As for alignment, it was still very close after the install - hardly a tweak. I've have no trouble with it. No squeaks or weird handling. Had to adjust the headlights a little. I checked the torque at 1k and it was fine. There are better kits on the market now with Polyurethane disks and stud bolts which I would likely buy instead of the aluminium disks in my old kit, but it has not really mattered so far. I really liked the overall results. Brought the rig to nearly level and really opened up the front wheel wells. Still has a very slight rear rake when empty. A 2.5in kit will likely be near perfect for a level look while empty.

Thanks for taking the time to school me on your tires. Appreciate your good input.
After tires (or at the same time) will be wheels, but I have not found many of the new styles that I like. Not keen on 'bling', and don't know what I think about these 'blacked-out' ones that are in fashion now. Some look good, but others just don't quite work. Reckon I'm just too old school - bushed aluminium is fine.

Nice Rig. I recently bought a simular rig (07 XLT, 6.5ft Bed) with a 2in Leveling Kit. I want to go up to larger tires than the 255s I have now. I was sniffing at 265s, but I'm thinking I like yours. You say these are BFG 285/70R17s on stock rims. What have you learned with your tires? Any rubbing? How was milage affected? Is your speedometer off any? How about general performance? Did you do any other power mods? I love to hear what you have to say.

Thanks Darren....now I'm going to see which shop in my area carries the stainless to finish the setup, didn't have any luck on that yesterday. Anyways, while lookin' through the Summit website, I decided on this tip here.......http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=MPE%2D35206&FROM=MG
