The only thing that I have done to the suspension is the 2.5" level kit and the Add A Leaf. Thank You for the complements on the truck. I figured some wouldn't like it since I have added chrome to the FX4 package. I like it though. Haven't seen any others quite like it.
I like the window tint, been debating getting it done, I know back in MD I would have been fine, but I have to feel things out here in Illinois and talk it up, to see if the cops care about that. Looks great without a cap! The AAL I picked up for like 100 and the spacers were 75, both from EBAY, then I needed cam bolts to compensate for the camber when aligning the 35's, the labor was pricey, like 500, because MD labor rates are high and my mechanic back home was expensive, but I trusted him. The wheels were 700, and the tires just under 1000. I have no idea what a 6" lift installed would cost, my guess would be 2000 for everything (lift kit and install), tons of guys on here have it done and they can point you in the right direction. I stayed away from the 6" lift for practicality reasons, and this truck is my only vehicle, now once I get a new car, then I'll go bigger with my truck.
Hey buddy, I don't think you did PM me before, but my set-up is a 2.5" AS up front with a Pro Comp AAL in the rear, I am running 17x8 XD SPY wheels with 35 x 12.50 Pro Comp All-Terrains, closing in on 10k on the tires and they look brand new, 99.5% no rubbin either, only rubs at full lock to the left when reversing. I love that color blue on your truck, not much for caps, but yours looks pretty nice and I know they can be real practical. I read down through the threads below, stay away from a 3" leveling kit, and honestly don't waste your money on a Rancho 4", get the Fabtech 6" or Pro Comp 6", just my opinion.
they are mcCulloch 8k bixenon in the heads and fogs are 8k also. install was pretty easy, only had to do the "bambi mod" to get the light to work without triggering the dash hibeam light.
I have a Rancho 4" now. I didn't think the 3" was a good idea because of the stress. My ball joints and tie rods were f^%ked after a couple of months. I know the 2" leveling isn't that bad. I have 35x12.50's on 20"x 9.5 MB wheels.
it's a 3" budget lift that the PO put on it. The ride sucks, but it looks nice. The rear has AAL's and the front has new coilovers. The front is bouncey bc of how stiff the rear is. Tall enough to not have to get bigger tires, although I'd like to lift it with a 6" lift w/ new rims and tires.
