The solenoid was $27.08. It is part #6L3Z9E441A and they called it a valve assembly on the reciept for some reason. If you don't hear it cycling in the cab before the noise though, it is probably a vacuum leak somewhere else in the system. I can't find it so I am going to let the stealership do it for me. I have also been told that I will have to have the hubs replaced since they are probably damaged from trying to engage so often.

Originally the noise was preceded by a rattle noise in the cab that turned out to be the control solenoid cycling very fast. It was causing vacuum to be lost at completely random time. I replaced that solenoid about a month ago. Now my truck only makes the noise in the front end without the solenoid cycling in the cab but there is a big difference in when it happens. Now it will only make the noise when I am out on the highway and I try to accelerate or when I am going up a hill and the truck gets under a heavy load. I would definitely think that it was an exhaust shield rattling if I didn't already know what the hubs trying to engage sounds like. Some guys on here and the service manager at my dealership are now convinced that I am losing vacuum to those hubs in some other way and only under certain conditions. It is going back to the dealership so they can find the leak.

No problems with the 33's. Mileage, I don't know because I put the new wheels and tires on when it had 200 miles....so I am not sure what stockers got for mileage. I currently get 12 mpg around town. My wheels are 18's. I ordered them the same exact size and backspacing as what came on my truck. The backspaceing is 5.71". I did have my PCM reprogrammed and speedo is right on now :)

    Hope that helps! :)
