You could always try to get into weather in the USAF. Talk to your local recruiter, come in start taking college classes and cut out with a degree. I'm in the USAF and I just have a few years left till I retire.

not weird really, I get asked all the time. I don't work for anyone but I do have friends in the NWS and local TV stations so I have a few doors that are accessible.

Got them on ebay from heavydutytrucks

    Link to Smooth finish

He also has them with textured finish. Just send them a quick email before ordering to be positive they fit flareside. Just to make sure. They've changed up their ad since I got mine. :)

I sanded it with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, then used Krylon black primer then painted with Krylon Satin Black. I removed the grill insert from the grill surround by heating up the plastic tabs on the grill surround and releasing the plastic clips. Try not to break them as they hold the grill in place to the grill surround. Then I just painted the entire thing billet and all attached to the grill.

Well first off I used Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint. The satin matches my wheels alot better than gloss would. I used thin painters tape. Taped off the top and bottom, each corner, then the sides so there was no way the paint could get onto the body. Then i laid newspaper all around and taped up my fender. I also used a card board box to contain the over spray. I roughed them up with 180 grit, sprayed 3 light coats, sanded them again with 320, then 2 more heavy coats. You should definitely give it a shot

I found a thread on here where someone said to use fishing line to get them off. It worked pretty good. Once you get both sides cut through you have to pull pretty good to get them off. I just used auotmotive paint you get in a can at like autozone.

You could go this route as well. I taped them off with painters tape. Then taped a bunch of newspaper pages on the truck so not to overspray and then spray them that way. I did that twice now trying to touch them up here and there.

I sued some sandpaper to rough the emblems up and get them to where they looked horrible. Make sure you get all the color out of the "F150" and stuff because it will look bad when they are painted.

If you take them off just get some 3M double sided tape and put them emblem back on where it was. I suggest you do it on a really hott day. That way the glue for the emblem is more pliable.

Let me know if you need anymore help. Thanks for the compliment.
