We did the intake mod and cut the mufflers off today, it was really easy to do and didnt take long at all. It was pretty much like you said, not really much difference in noise at all and he has stock exhaust. It makes me wonder how much good the air intake mufflers do after all. I think it makes the engine compartment look a lot better too. Thanks for your help and info !

I've got a friend with an 04 and I mentioned this mod to him so he could save a couple $. How loud is your truck without the baffle/muffler on the air intake compared to before ?

it's a 6.5' box, not 8'. it's 150" wheel base. no special order, just not very common.

Nice. Those old Broncos gotta be some of the best looking 4x4's out there. Love em, always have. Anyways, I will keep a look out for anything worth while, local, and for sale. Unimogs are awesome, and one helluva machine, but damn pricey ! Anyways, if your up for a drive, we might be having a little meet and greet up north. Lake Pillsbury gets plenty of bigger mud holes for our big ass trucks. Some snow too, if we go up the mountain a ways. Good times for sure though, more then welcome to come.
