I have a question for you... I have a 05 f150 5.4 with an AFE cold air intake and a flowmaster cat-back. I own the flashpaq and when it is set on 87 or mileage xs I hear a loud low pitch noise when accelerating or up shifting at a certain poing in the throttle. the noise goes away if its on 91, towing, or stock. And it feels like it has a little bit of a lag for the second or two I hear the noise? Can you tell me what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

The 87 octane file is our lowest setting which means that we are only able to maximize what we can out of the vehicle while using 87. To gain more power and keep away from engine pinging we created the 91 files which offer gains of up to 18hp and 26 ft/lb tq to the rear wheels but towing is minimal depending on which 91 file you choose.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are the fiqures you quoted me for the tow tune or is that the performance tune? It seems very mild. Are the shifts firmed up significantly in the tow tune? Do I have to run 91 in the tow tune? I ordered a flashpaq tuner from you guys via Motorhaven today. I hope to recieve it tomorrow. I didnt want a display (evo, gryphon) that would attract attention or require me to remove it when I had to get the truck serviced.

Finally can I add a S&B intake without leaning out my A/F ratio with your tuner?

    Thanks

    Scott

Our 87 octane file provides 5.4L users with an additional 15HP and 18ft/lb TQ to the rear wheels of your vehicle.

    Thanks for the inquiry,

    Hello
I have a 2001 F150 with a stock 5.4 engine. The only change I will be doing is adding a K&N air filter. I'm looking for the best compromise between towing, performance, MPG. What could I expect from a Superchip programer while running 87 octane?
