That will be fun for you. If I had things my way I would have my own metal shop with a car lift where I could do just about anything I want. I pretty much taught myself how to weld, never had any formal schooling, just OJT. Best way to learn, plus I got paid to do it. That job was my own personal trade school, or at least that was what I called it. It was a small plant where we made heavy equipment used in downstream extrusion plants (PVC pipe, vinyl framing, HDPE, etc.). Built everything from the ground up. We had everything there. :)

Hard to have a shop in town though, not enough property to have a shop. :(

Welcome to the site! I'm another Burleson member. Nice truck you have! What type of welding do you do? I used to tig weld stainless steel at my last job. Enjoyed it a lot.

Hey, another in Burleson! At least 3 of us now. The Edge comes with 3 canned tunes. Level 1 is just a shift tune. Level 2 is an 87 towing tune and Level 3 is a 93 performance tune. I bet the Level 2 will help a lot with the towing. I was happy with the Edge for a long time, then ordered custom tunes from PHP.

There is a goood thread in the apperance section called "Painted My Headlights"!!! that gives a good step by step. Basiclly you remove the headlamps and put them in the oven for 10-15min at 250 to soften the sealant Ford uses. Than I used a leatherman tool and some screwdrivers to pry all the sealant out. When you get it all apart you will have 3 peices. The lens, the chrome part and the back. I used some 320grit sandpapper and scuffed up the chrome and then taped the areas I did'nt want paint on. I painted them with Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint and then put the whole assembly back together and sealed them with some black RTV. In the end This project took me 5-6 hours from start to finish and I've had no leaks in the lights yet.
