No worries. I know the deal.
Not a high priority. It will be many months before I could act on anything I learn from what you have to show, so no hurry.

Have you had the chance to take any more photos of your Winch and behind the bumper mounting set-up? I sure you like to see how it all went together. It looks like a real slick system.
Post them to your photo album when you can.

There was a recent Thread Post asking the same questions I was, so I know there is more interest in what you have done with your rig.

There is a curved metal plate under the seat for support...you will feel it about 6" or 7" from the front of your seat...someone on here has pics of how to cut it out for more room under your seat. And what did you use to cut out holes for the usb and mp3 input by the cig lighter? That looks real nice!

    Dang NICE Rig!
Can you post some more photos of your Winch install... shot from behind the bumper and mounting points and any other details & knowledge you care to share. I really like the hidden design. Slick set-up.
Same with your exhaust system. Muffler and tube routing. I like how you have the left side over the rear axle, rather than parallel to it as other designs I've seen. Saves room for a larger spare tire- I should think. Any thought and knowledge on that would be appreciated.
Digging the Train Horn, too... I'm a closet Rail Fan. Horn would be pretty darn cool.

    Hope to hear from you.

    LED INFO

Alright, bare with me, im going off memory on this and it has been a couple of months...

First, go pick up a voltage regulator power plug for like a cigarette lighter, make sure it has adjustable voltage and can be set to around 3 volts(This will help so you don't have to solder resistors in like I did, much faster). Also test this on 1 led before you start putting them in the truck to make sure it works.

Wiring the lights is easy if you use the voltage reg, the shorter pig-tail on the led is the negative, so solder a black wire about 2 feet long to the shorter tail and a colored wire to the longer tail about 2 feet long also. I ran all of my wires into the doors, then soldered the wires off the lights to the wires i ran into doors.

Then to get a door handle off. (im assuming you know how to take the door panels off) let me know if you dont. After the door panel is off, there will be 2 10mm nuts on the back of the handle that you can get to through the holes in the metal. After you take those off, the handle will just pop a little but there is a metal hook that attaches to it for the opening mechanism that has to be taken off, its a pain but be careful and just get the handle out of the door and then turn the handle to get it off the hook, much easier. (try not to bend the metal rod.)

When you get the handles off, on the back of them are two perfectly centered and perefectly spaced arrows with numbers around them, thats where i mounted my lights at. To mount them get a drill bit a little smaller than the led and drill out the center of the convenient markings, then with the led's already wired up, put them in the drilled holes, make sure they are snug, then i used hot-glue on the back of the lights to secure/seal them.

Getting the wires into the doors is a pita for the front doors, what i did was drill a small hole for the 2 wires i was running into the doors right under the plug in the door jam, then right after the plug i sliced the rubber boot just a little, and ran the wires into there so they were hidden, and just into the door from there. on the back doors you dont have to do this, there is enough room to run the wires through the factory stuff without any problems. You will see when you pull the boots/plugs off on the back.

Depending on what your going to hook them up on, either a switch, which is what mine are on now, or to the alarm, what mine used to be on is up to you, all you have to do is give that voltage regulator 12 volts, and on its output wires which you would cut the plug off by the way and just use the wires to tap into your led wires, put your switch on. I hope that made sense.

With the 3 volts or so you will be running out, you can hook up 1 led or in theory as many led's as you want... just in a chain, 1 positve wire with all the postive led leads hooked to and vice versa with the negative....

Alright, I know your going to have questions on this... Just let me know what else you need, whether it be now or 3 weeks from now when your about to start the install.

Np. I personally like it a lot better. I think its a bit brighter but not exactly sure. See if you can get into the old galleries or my photobucket (RPyfrom1) and I should have a few pics of it.
