I can't remember what grit sand paper I used but I used two grits(I think like 800 and 1200). I used the heavier grit sand paper first and wet-sanded the light nice and even(wet sanding is just simply sanding while wet. Just dip your sandpaper in a bucket of water with a drop of soap.)

I than taped off the clear part(if you want to do it this way). I than did about 5 light coats of the nightshades. Make sure you go very light or you will get some runs.

IF you get runs use your 1200 and lightly wet sand the bad area out.

As for the clear I brought it up to a local body shop and he did it for me for like $40.

I followed this link when I did mine...

yea, I don't have any good shots of my taillights, but there's quite a few write ups on how to do it on here tho along with a few other things, search nightshades.. you should look into blacking out all your emblems with krylon fusion then throwing on overlays, inlays, and a new fx4 decals from patriotdecals.com, lookup how to paint your headlights (have to take them apart), use black high temp spray on your exhaust, and get some black rustoleum for your underbody and wheel well.. just a few tips, i figure it doesnt hurt to share, you might spend about $75 for doing everything I listed.. anywho, good luck and have fun
