Hey Jack, would you give me some input of the two posts I just had? From the look of things, you got a good handle on stuff...

Yeah I read the sticky note...like i said i pretty much understand the basics but I just wanted to do soem more research. I understand none of these products will be able to dramatically increase fuel economy, but 2 or 3 mpg will pay for itself eventually. Right now I average about 16.8 mpg a tank. I drive a lot of interstate with some stop and go driving in there as well. It would be great to add some giddy up as well as save a little bit of fuel mileage. Thanks for the info, i'll do some more browsing and see what I can find out.

I posted a thread earlier, but it seems like you have the knowledge I need. I'm no mechanic at all, everything on my truck is stock (05 4.6 V8 Automatic). Is there a program or tune that I can purchase that will help my fuel economy and not kill my horsepower or blow up my engine? Keep in mind, i'm not extremely handy, so i need something relatively easy to install myself.

    Hey Jack,

I have a question for you. I am planning on purchasing an Gryphon with one tune. I was planning on it being an 87 economy (replace tranny only tune) because I have a very light foot (get 17mpg city now) and was hoping to improve it more. I have the 5.4 and I'm 2wd with the 3.55 gearing. Do you agree with the economy tune? As I said I have a light foot, but I don't want the truck to be underpowered if I need it to get up and go. Would a 87 performance tune be a better option even though I don't reach high rpms?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jack,
I just bought a truck just like yours, completely stock. What would you suggest for a tuner? I have researched a little, but you seem to be somewhat of an expert. I would appreciate any insight you may have. Thanks,

    TAE
