i tried that it just got louder :( i think i am gonna try running it out and grounding it straight to the frame and see if that solves it

yes i am running two Kenwood amps one for my sub and one for the speakers not sure on the model numbers i would have to look
they are both hooked via a 2ga wire to a power block then 2 guage to the sub amp and 8 Gauge to the speaker amp

the sub pops also so i am sure its the headunit

Hey thanks for the info on me doing amp hook up to stock radio, I was wondering where do you think would be the best place for installin the inline fuse when wiring the remote wire to the Acc wire on the stock head unit, should I inline the fuse close to the head unit or leave it exposed closer to the amp in case the fuse happens to blows it would be easier to locate and see. thanks for you time and help - Tyler

Hey man, glad I found another devil fan on here. Just graduated last semester and I just bought a Black 2007 F150 Supercrew FX4. I've been looking into putting in a remote start for the hot summers. After looking into just getting the factory 6 button put in, I've been quoted around $700 bucks installed from several different dealers. Does that seem high to you? I have no problem putting in a aftermarket system but I really don't need anything with all the bells and whistles. Like a Viper 5901 or anything. I'd like to just keep the factory alarm on it but include the remote start and maybe just a shock sensor or something minor. What is the cheapest way to go about doing this without having 2 Fobs?

I changed my amp to a Kenwood, it's rated at 900x1@2ohms. Which would be 450 to each, but I doubt it truly GIVES what it says, so it'll be more like 400-425 a piece and then I'll keep the gain down, What do you think?
