No I have both, blocks and the leveling kit. The 3" block is a direct replacement for the stock block in your truck and maybe referred to as an additional 1.0 -1.5" of lift. What it basically does is double the size of your factory block and measures around 3" tall. My kit is an Autospring setup which I bought directly from them and it will have everything you need to do the job. The swap is real easy to do yourself.

    LegIron,
I am not familiar with the 3" block kit. I have seen the leveling kits and the 1.5" add a leaf. Your truck looks great and I am looking at running a similar setup. Do you just have the leveling kit and the add a leaf kit in your gallery pictures?

Yes, I use the Superchips 93 performance tune with E85 and the truck runs very well.

Yes you will need the block if you want the stance to be near level. I started out the same way thinking that I could get away without it but the slight nose high stance just bugged me to much.

Did you find that you needed the 3" block in the rear after adding the extra weight from the cap? I have 2" leveling kit on the front of my 08 supercrew and am getting ready to purchase a cap and was wondering if the 3" block was something I needed to keep it level (or slight forward rake)? Thanks for the help.

If I keep my foot out of it I can get 16 hwy even with these mud tires. The best I have ever done is 17 with stock tires so the trade in mileage was worth it to me.
