Thanks for the kind words! Yeah the 97 broke my heart. It was the first truck that I ever bought and paid for myself.

The bolt I am missing is the next one back.. My email is captaincarpetinfo@yahoo.. I'm pretty sure I don't have the silver thing but i'll check.. The truck was supposedly tuned @a good dyno shop so I would think the timing would be fine but that made me think of something that it is doing.. sometimes it starts normal like takes a couple cranks to start but sometimes it starts with like half a crank so maybe that could indicate timing.. Oh and @ idle my gauge is at like -20 pegged on the vacuum side..

Well what I have is actually a lightning engine with 10,000 miles and the supercharger i'm not sure.. the guy I bought it from reused the supercharger that was on it before he swapped the stock 5.4 with the new lightning engine.. the truck itself just turned 84,000 today actually.. I called magnuson and they told me to release tension on the belt and check the blower snout for any play, but it seems very tight so I think the bearings are fine.. Buuut today i was looking around and noticed that on the top left side of the supercharger the allen screw/bolt, i think the 3rd or 4th one back was missing and i could see where a little oil was leaking out :-/ and i tried to put a new one in but i think a blot is broke off in it.. so i'm not quite sure what to do on that one... anyway, back to the wierd rattling.. Im thinking that possibly it is the exhaust and not the blower because i have headers.. Either way it drives me nuts... when yours was grinding when did you notice it? Mine starts at about 5 lbs of boost when i'm lugging up a hill in overdrive.. once it shifts down it either goes away or i just can't hear it.. who rebuilt your's and how much did it cost?

Hows it goin? Somebody referred me to you because I just bought an 01 supercrew with the AED supercharger.. And since AED went out of business I have no one to answer my questions.. Grr anyway, I was wondering where to check the oil level on it. I didn't realize but my intercooler pump failed and i'm not sure how long I drove it that way. I just replaced it with a much better bosch pump that it should have had in the first place.. I run at 8lbs.. It was rattling before I replaced the pump but now that I replaced it the rattling went away.. Do you think there is any damage?

What kind of grill is that? Does it bolt to the factory grill or do you remove the factory grill and install? Where did you get it at?
    THANKS!

Troyer sold me an x calibur 2 tuner with 3 custom tunes installed, I just did some pulls "load" and "no load" for datalogging purposes just to check the tune and it was "spot on", Troyer actually sent me a chord to go between the flash device and the laptop computer that the dyno facility used for me, and I actually left the livewire datalogging disc there, so they may still have it if you don't. They mainly deal with imports but they did what I needed, and were reasonably priced
