    Hey It seems that you know alot about rear end gears lol. I have a 2002 ford with the 4.2L. I put 315/75R16 tires on it and now my mpg went from 16 to 9 lol. what gears do you thank I should run.

    Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping to get to a bunch of maintenance items soon, including the plugs.
    Do I need to disconnect the battery for any reason when removing the fuel rails?

    thanks for your reply. did you mean the gears in trans or rear end? my trans is tore down right now. i would like to tell the tech what i would like to do now. i have been told that i can not put a lower 1st gear in the trans.
