There is a few of us on here that lowered our 4x4's. I originally was looking for a used FX2 but got a good deal on this FX4 due to the high milage for a 06 (120KMS) I need the traction for winter and boat ramps only, other than that, i just go up and down the hwy with it to work. So i didn't need the height of a 4x4, so the project began, turn my FX4 into a FX2 with 4x4 i guess. Originally before any mods, i was getting around 780 to 800 kms a tank, now i'm getting over 900 with one time 945 kms a tank. Cold air, Magnaflow, engine/injection flush, lowering it got it out of the wind more, and also more of a hwy tire all help me out in saving fuel. The Decals are from Patriot Decals, they look great and cost me around $50 shipped for all if i remember. The fender and tailgate emblems are from the the 09's and the FX4 on the tailgate is from a 03 Expedition (FX4 model).

Ive been to barrie many times before. Why did you lower a FX4? just asking cause thats the first time ive heard of anyone doing that, its always lift kits, but like you said you hate normal. Also i see you put on new logos from patriotdecals.com, I was looking at their dite and considering getting some new badges, what did yours run you by the time they crossed over the border?

I thought you might be in London due to the firetruck inside, i could only see LON so i took a guess. Barrie is about a hour north of Toronto on Lake Simcoe. My truck is a lowered 06 FX4. I put on the FX2 grille, and lower valance hoping i could put my oem hooks (now chromed) back on and through the knockouts. But the FX2 valances hole is not low enough for the hook to go through. So the hooks costing me $200 and the FX2 valance costing only $45, the hooks won! So back on with the FX4 valance. I have a ton of pictures from day one on the stuff i was trying out on my profile. I hate normal, but i don't like over doing it either, thats why the light customing look. Besides it keeps me out of the wifes hair! lol
