I didn't need any shims after I removed my blocks or after the shackles. But your mileage may vary.

In other words, every truck is different, you won't know if you need shims until you lower it. If you get a vibe, then you need them. If you don't, then you don't.

Hey Red, finally got my 2" drop shakles today, now it's hunting down the front springs. Just a quick question, what you did to lower your truck have any drive shaft problems, like vibration. Did you need any shims or any thing other than a front end allignment. Thanks Al

FYI 2" drop shackles only give 1.5" on 4x4's. You also need to remove the rear lift blocks and replace the factory 4x4 u-bolts with 2wd u-bolts to gain the extra 1.5" for of total of 3" in the rear.

For everything I used to lower my truck, it only cost me $300

    Belltech lowering shocks $200 pair
    DJM 2" drop shackles $60
    Ford 2wd u-bolts $40
