Talking Thrilled new Blackwood owner & Forum member

I'm a recent owner,(two+ months), with 22,000 original miles. This truck ROCKS, compared to my Ford F-150 5.4!!
Does anyone know where I can get updated, or newer CD maps for my Navigation system, & can I buy just the CD's for my area of the country?

Wow, 22k. That's phenomenal. I've got like 120K on mine now. The suspension finally loosened up and it rides like a dream, in fact I may eventually put the old shocks back on it. Been a good truck but I've had intermittent operation of the tonneau (have to remove power for it to reset), one blown out spark plug (from the bad robot at the ford plant), and a recent problem with cowl shake that I hope I've resolved finally, mainly related to the repair of the blown plug. But it's a good truck and I like it a lot. Oh, I also had the heater core leak which meant I had to totally dismantle the interior. That was a pain but the copper core was only about 50 bucks. I'd buy it again, but mainly because they put my name on it. Florence, KY

Here!

My black is clocking 30,100 kilometers (about 18,700 miles), the only glitch so far, the darn tonneau, went trough 3 modules, now it's working with a bunch of relays, so far so good.

Welcome bigblackmachine, almost catching you in miles

I still snoop around here periodically (obviouslly since it took me so long to comment lol). Still got my Wood. She's over 96K and is going to get some much needed love this summer in the form of a good once over on the engine. Maybe even a good cleaning & wax job (long over due).

Still have mine

I still have my Blackwood - just turned 70K recently. Currently has another dead tonneau module, but I got a new one from Tasco at a 35% discount and will be replacing it soon. Wish the fuel wasn't so high; 10 -12 in the hills of Pittsburgh is hard to take, although 20 on the highway isn't bad for a 6000 lb truck.

My father has a 2002 blackwood. He has 42k on the clock...a Blackwood has to be the best riding fullsize truck produced. I love it, just hate how the bed is basicly rendered un-usable, since the bed is soo small inside. But with the DOHC 5.4, that is basicly a big 96-98, or 99-01 cobra motor, the truck has decent power straight off the showroom floor. The interrior is just awesome! From an outside appearance standpoint...the truck has to be the best looking truck that ford, or a ford owned company has ever produced. The only thing that I can complain about is the wheels, they suck in my opinion, but im sure alot of people would say differently, but thats why we all have opinions.

New Owner - TODAY!

Just picked up my Blackwood today! 2nd owner with only 33k miles! I plan for that number to go up quickly, despite the gas pump prices! BEAUTIFUL vehicle! Drives like a dream!

Previous owner removed the silver trim on the bed and dutch doors (any ideas on aftermarket "tape" replacement?)

Glad I found this forum...I will stop "showing off" my lifting toneau cover to save the electronic module!
