My Blackwood cover has quit too. I was able to re-seat the 15 amp fuse for a few months, maybe 7-8 times.

Anybody know what I'm looking at next? I'd like to look into it myself before I Take it to a dealership.
Thanks for any help. Or may can do better than thanks if we can get this fixed.

Oddly enough, on mine the 15 amp fuse trick quit working and I thought it was kaput. Ran around for a couple months with it tied down using parachute cord. Then I disconnected the battery to work on the engine and when I hooked it back up the tonneau was working again. Go figure.

I've had the battery disconected, even replaced an old battery. I'll get some parachute cord shipped today.

It aint been open in like 6 months. I've done the outside manual relase thing before...but with no power, it can't seal.

I started a thread on the electronics forum about this too,so we'll see what happens.

I tied the cord to the left hand rear tie down, looped it through the left latch hoop , then under the left door and up the seam. There's a small hole under the top that's practically made for it, through there and out the big hole. Then I tied a trucker's hitch and tucked it into the crack between the doors. Worked well enough.

How about a wide leather belt all the way cross the top?

I could get a big buckle, like Santa!

I just orderd this:

If the module shows to be bad, I may look into making a circut or 2 outside of it.....if I can.

Any tips on removing the SS panels??? anyone???

JB-thanks for the tip on how you tied the bed down,I'll be doing that.

Mine quit months ago; I was looking to hook up a trunk release solenoid to the emergency release or the manual release under the bed before I got the module. If you change out the module, get yourself the wire mesh covered gloves from Harbor freight if you want hands in one piece; the back of the SS panels are all sharp edges and will shread your flesh.

I believe there are no more modules at ford (couldn't find one at the time), thats why i went with my friend who got it working with the relay panel he made, so far, not a single glitch since '08.

After learning that you could press down on each rear corner to latch the tonneau, I tied a length of parachute cord to the emergency release and added a **** so it hangs just about level with the spring. Just a little lower would be better I think. So now I reach under the fender to unlatch and push down to latch. Not great but it does work, and it cost nothing.
