Where is my Blackwood??

Just a bit of nostalgia here, but I am trying to find out where my Blackwood and my Lightning ended up.

I followed the Lightning through two owners and then lost track of it and I have posted the VIN on the Lightning thread.

I turned the Blackwood in to the local LM dealer with chip/filter/exhaust intact at the end of the lease and I knew they would not sell it off of their lot.

Sure enough, it was sent to the auction lot here in Georgia and I have not seen it since.

If any of you out there would check your VIN, mine was 5LTEW05A12KJ01641.

Yes, in a sense, but it is not worth $30 for me to find out.
At least that is what comes up when I access the CarFax website.

Why are you wanting to find it? I am just curious.

Shines:

I could beg off and say I had seen some similar threads/posts on this Forum but...........

I am fast approaching 70 years of age and am cleaning out a hell of a lot of stuff from my house, including my home office, where I have records of almost every vehicle I have owned since the 1960's.

Bills of sale, service records, photos etc. etc. Probably 50 or so vehicles.

For the most part, all were pedestrian type vehicles and are long, long gone to the junkyards. Exceptions would be three restoration projects sitting in my driveway, 2 1956 F100 pickups and a 1969 Chevrolet Panel Van.

Only in the last 15 years or so did I own what I consider really interesting contemporary vehicles that were, in the same sense, contemporary collectibles.

A last year Taurus SHO V8, my '99 Lightning and my '02 Blackwood.

Kind of like going to your 50th anniversary High School Reunion and following up on your girl friends of the time and seeing where they ended up.

Not a good analogy, as most of them are gone now but I hope you get my drift.

I am not yet suffering from Alzheimers or Dementia but from time to time, I like to look into my past, in this case recent past fun vehicles, and see where they ended up.

Indulge me.
