Lightbulb Mark LT Chrome

I just removed the chrome cladding running along the side of my LT. Filling in all the alignment tabs was a pain but i think it will make the truck look much cleaner. Has anyone else does this? I know they made this an option on the 2007 models. I like chrome but that was way overboard!! other than that i love the truck!

I havent done that but here is what mine looks like without the chrome, notice it was not a Lincoln to begin with.

That's nice, did you have lower half painted? Underneath the chrome is just body color, I'm only guessing, but aren't there tabs or something holding the chrome peices on? What do you fill those in with?

As I said notice its not a Lincoln to begin with, It was a Lariat then I added the Linoln trim, badges, grill etc. I agree the chrome rocker panels are to much.

Sorry, I must have overlooked the first comment, it looks good. Since it's not a Lincoln, I guess that explains the tow hooks, I went out and looked for mine, there are none. Hope I never need to get pulled out of somewhere.

My mark lt's chrome is coming loose and I took a closer look, saw that underneath the chrome it is the regular body paint...

I didn't care for the amount of chrome that was on the Mark LT's, they also didn't make the truck in red in '06, so I took a mono tone F150 and made my own. I was able to do the Roush conversion and the LT conversion with a new F150 for less than what I was being quoted for a new LT at the time.

The mono tone looks so much better in my opinion. Lincoln did a good thing by making that an option. I'd like to see your pics

So you converted your f150 also? I love it. My mother just bought a used f150 king ranch. looks just like your truck. she wants a lincoln conversion. Can you let me know where you bought the grille, and other parts. Great looking truck. Looks like an lt, im assuming half the price! LOL

Any Ford dealer can get you all the stuff but be warned - bring an extra arm and leg with you!
