ok I'm gettin ready to get all new sneakers for my L. The GoodYear's are too expensive for me. So What do you guys recommend? I've never had any of these tires so your opinions are greatly needed. Thanks!!
I put Hankook RH06s on my 06 Lariat and so far I love em. Ride smooth and quiet with a more aggressive tread pattern than the OEM Pirellis, and the price as right, $440 for the set.
I have the hankooks and would not recommend them. For wet driving, they are nasty. They last really long (and price is right) but traction is very limited..

Huh... I just got my first Hankooks (actually the first time I've kept a Lightning long enough to have to change the tires, lol) and my "initial" impression is that they're better than the stock F1's (drove in the rain yesterday too). I can't comment on the other brands, but compared to the stock F1's, for the price, they're a definite win! (seem to ride smoother on bumpy roads too). I thought for the price they would be a disappointment compared to the stockers, but I've been very impressed with them so far... I feel that they're better than the stockers which are way overpriced IMO.

That is just all wrong, no way are the kooks better traction then the F1's...I had 3 sets of F1'a and now switched to the kooks,, Big mistake...
I have had two sets of Goodyears and 2 sets of Hankooks on my Lightning and will definitely go with the Hankooks next time. The difference in traction is negligible in rain or dry in Texas. Maybe it would be different in colder regions. But to me the price and longevity of the 'Kooks make them an obvious winner in my book.
