Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one havin' "issues" with inserting photos. For the life of me, I can't make it work. Anyhow, to the topic at hand. I put 6 1/2" MB quarts in the doors after dynamating them, and an 8" Rockford sub in the back in a custom enclosure. Still have room for storage and kept the CD changer in it's stock location. I used an Eclipse 400 watt amp under the passenger seat. Put the jack and lug wrench in the spare tire. With the new door speakers, I don't use or miss the rear speakers.

Cool

OK, Lightning guys.

This truck is still an F-150 (although a very special one). But the dash and stereo is still the same as the other F-150's, so I think this type of topic would be more beneficial in the stereo sections of the message board. Some of you might want to research there from time to time anyway, because I have seen where people have put 2 single din units in the stock opening, so a double din unit should be able to be fitted in there.

Wow, I really like the cap monitor. and F1car's Clarion EQ w/ the sub RCA. Also what kind of digital camera do you have f1car? Amazing clarity and size of picture and for being so up-close.

Hey TheJackal,

It's my friends Olympus c-2500l it cost about $1400 this last Christmas, SLR 2.1 mega pixel holds about 80-120 Meg. The picks that you see here are only 1/4 of the cameras potential for web-based publishing. I think that he should of made then at 1/16 potential.

Now they make a 3.1 meg pixel direct view camera for about $800, but I like SLRs better.

Question

Okay, here's my question. Did you take out the factory radio yourself or have a professional do it? I need to get my radio out for some repairs.

Just get a $2 part at the parts store which is a bent wire to stick in the holes on the side to pop out the Radio. I have tried a coat hanger and had no luck itis worth the trip to the part store

Thumbs up

Girls-
It's easy to take the factory unit out yourself if you have the right tool. They make a "U" shaped thing (about the same diameter as a wire coathanger) that fits in the 4 little holes on the corners of the unit. You simply put it in, squeeze, and pull out. If you don't have a tool or you don't know someone who does, run to any car-audio place and they can do it in about 30 seconds. Good luck.

As soon as my L gets here, the system from my current F150 will be going in.

I hope the 2001 uses the same connector as my 199 F150, that way I will not have to resolder the harness
