2001 start date on schedule!
Wen't by the receiving lot in the Dearborn Today. There they were, unloading three 2001 Lightnings, (one white & two black!). 
Stickers in the windows, just out of the plant! This is a good sign that the date has not been moved back! My sources say jan,8th is still on.
For those who orderd black! "It looks good!" Let's see what color will be the fastest out of the plant this year!

This makes me VERYYYYYY happy!!! :Gets on knees and begs: "PLEASE NO MORE SET BACKS!!!" How did the Black L's look?? Hey, I'll send you a $1 if you take a picture of them (The Black L's) next time. I'll even be your best friend! 
.Oh, and isn't it obvious already who's the fastest?? TWO Black L's and one white.

Yeah Black is the fastest alright, fastest to show dirt, fastest to fade, fastest to show a scratch, fastest to show buff marks when you wax it. Black trucks look great but what a pain in the a$$ to keep clean.

If i was caught with a camera in the engineering center, I would be sacked! I can tell you this!
Even though I orderd silver, the Black L's look intimidating as HELL. Clear lenses on the front and rear look mean on black!!
Can't wait to see black in my mirrors! Black vett's that is. he,he,he.

Were those pre production trucks, or actual production truck?
How do the new lights, grill, and rims look in person.
I thank you for the report, I just wish mine was being built before feb 19th. I don't know why I got that date, I put my deposit on it before thanksgiving. I was going to get white, but the dealer told me this one was allready ordered.

I agree! the 01 wheels look like sh*t!
too bad i'm 18 and the truck would cost me 800 bucks a month w/insurance or i'd own a lightning!

Hey, guys!
Just got back from the bar! Had to do some shots to celebrate my out of life experiance seeing the L's today. If my spelling is bad you know why!

The lights,grill and wheels grow on you after a few minutes! They do look better im person!
The vewhicles were pre-production plant builds! Window sticker had all the information! Just no price. These vehicles will go to SVT, and Big shots at World Head Quarters and other variouse departments!
Some may make it to the resale lot and be the earliest on the line in production!!
Some will never make it past the scrapper! Fallen comrads!! Anyway, looking at the window sticker, the city MPG was around 11 or 12. The HWY was 16! Don't hold me to these exact numbers! I'm close "OK". At the time I was saying to myself "Maybe I should have orderd Black!!" :rolleyes
"Yes, Black looks good!!" I do know this!! Those who did order black, will have their arm in a sling from washing and waxing their beast three-times a week!
For those who orderd white and red! Well, not as good as Black or Silver!!
Just my .02! Going to pass out now! Talk at you all later!
