Question Kenne Bell 13,000 rpm max for warranty coverage true or false?

I have heard that the KB is not supposed to be spun faster than 13,000 rpms. Is that true? This is the warranty paperwork which was included when the blower was purchased.

BTW, 13,000 rpms is a KB 3.5" upper and a 8.25" lower pulley @ 5500rpms.

What kind of boost can you make at 13,000 RPMs?

It depends upon the mods. But probably not much.

Easter,

Like you've ever given a damn about a warranty anyway?

And what's up with that Nebraska location? Tennessee deport you, or something?

Prolly for doing 180 evertime he gets on the interstate.

With all the things you have done to that truck, keeping a warranty would be a sin for you.

Does anyone know the formula to determine how fast your spinning your KB based on pulley size and RPM???

[(lower pulley diameter/upper pully diameter) x motor rpm at shift]= supercharger rpm

Here are some lower pulley sizes:

2# ~ 7.90"
3# ~ 8.17"
4# ~ 8.50"
5# ~ 8.75"
6# ~ 9.00"

So much for my warranty, if I am doing this right:

9" lower / 3.25" upper x 5200 = 14,400

D-Day

Although, now that I think about it, KB warrantied my first one (that seized) and they knew about the pulley set up.

according to that paper, everybody's KB warranty is voided already anyway because of the open element filters...

I'm using the stock air box. But now that my warranty is up (1 year) I may switch to an open air filter like the fast guys use.
