I THink I just saw a Gen 3 on the street (Manufacturer plate)

I was on 496 in Downtown Lansing and I see this Ford coming up behind me. It was the new body style but looked different. Then I thought... NO! it can't be! So I get over in the slow lane (speed limit is 55 downtown) and it passes my jeep.

It was definitely a 2wd model and had manufacturer's plates on it. I see these ALL the time here in Michigan. Generally they are prototypes or testing models.

First thing I notice are the bra's covering the front of it. You can tell it had some type of ground effects in the front, but couldn't tell exactly due to the bra.

It was a stepside New Body style and painted WHITE. It appeared to be a 2wd model. It sat MUCH lower than a regular F150. It had HUGE rims and low profile tires that were painted solid black. The Kicker? It has Exhaust exiting the passenger side right behind the door! I couldn't see the drivers side as I was in the "slow lane" and it was in the fast lane.

It wasn't a 4dr cab, but it was kinda an extended cab, Kinda in between. The interior was Black and it had some electronic instruments mounted on the passenger seat and the dash. Looked kinda like a laptop and some gizmo's.

The Step Side was as contoured as our Gen 2 lightnings, it had more body lines to it.

SO I followed it for a few minutes (KICKING myself I didn't have the camera) and then since I already passed my exit, I took the next one.

So could it have been the next Lightning? Does anyone know if Rousch vehicles drive around with Manufacturer plates?

I dont want to get my hopes out since Ford has already crushed them before. Probably wasnt a L due to the fact that they already said they wanted to get the GT500 out on the road before starting the L.

I'm bettin it was. Probably long lead testing of the GT 500 Mustang motor in the truck platform. Its actually the perfect upgrade motor to the current L motor. Also reduces costs to use it in two platforms. The manufacturer plate is the dead giveaway.
