Great news!!!
Question, I have been thinking about this alot. Am i going to buy it when it first comes out or wait until year 2 to find out the bugs.
New truck, New technology, new motor, new problems.

I want #1 off the line but I am not forgetting it is still a Ford.

Did they quote you a price, or is it too early for that?

Its always a good idea to wait until the second or third year at least.......but there will be problems of some sort no matter what year you buy

no flame , but i thinks its useless to do anything right now.
until everything is offically announced and theres a price and
option list, a dealer cant do squat.i dont care about bugs or
1st year problems as soon as i can really order one ,im doin it.
im tired of my hd already ,i just hope i can wait another year or so. i almost traded my hd in for a h2 recently .

Hi all!!!

No pricing is available for the new Lightning yet... it won't be out till MY 2006...

Also, the GT are supposed to be around $150k MSRP... however you probably won't be able to touch one for under $200k...

Laters,

D-Rock

Good thinking. Coming from someone that bought 2 99 cobra's, which spent 4 of the 12 months I owned them in the shop, waiting til the 2nd model year isn't a bad idea. Of course in the cobra's case they were so bad there wasn't a 2nd model year.

The 99 Cobras are so cheap to buy because of that over rating issue.... I see lots of 17 year old kids driving those around town.

I will probaly wait a year or two for the bugs to be worked out.

Probaly buy a used one this time also as the money saved can go toward mods.

Normally I would agree, but since I can never leave anything alone, I am sure (unless it came with a built motor) I would be doing some driveline work to it.
If I would have known I was going to change almost everything I probaly would not have bought a new one.

I still remeber telling my wife (she reminds me all the time) that I was going to leave the L stock and not touch a thing.

then I found F-150 online and the tuners and all that went out the window.

I don't regret it at all.

hahah I agree with you 100% but its just funny coming from you. Of all the people, you truck is one of the furthest from stock. That's great man. I said the same thing 100 times about the Lightning, and now same thing with the Cobra. But I've had the Cobra a month now, and i only put 500 miles on it before I put the short throw, predator and powerstack on it.
