i hated it at 1st, then i got used to the look, and now i LOVE it!
not a fan of the yellow interior or rims, but those probably won't make it to production anyway. but the overall design and everything once you get used to it is sweet IMO

the interior and the motor are the only good things about it IMO. the nose looks okay too, mainly because the hood looks like a Cervini's ram air. the rest of the body...what were they

Thumbs down

They ruined the body. No doubt about it. I think the Gen 2 Lightning was one of if not the best looking vehicle in production now and they ruined it. Bad Ford Bad. -Mat-

I did not like it at first, either, but I am with Harley #356 on this, I like it better than the new Mustang!

whats with the domestic makers these days? Since when is GM's body cladding and random collection of angular pieces considered a fashion statement? First the asstek, then the escalade. Ford, dont go down that bunny trail ....

I sorta like it but my truck isnt going anywhere anytime soon. I think it kinda looks like a smaller f250 the way it is boxy in its shape.

I'm not crazy about the look. Performance of course is no question! I don't think the interior looks very cozy, nothing I would want to spend any time in. Looks like some modern art deco gone wrong, but that seems to be the automotive trend these days. I think the current F150 design is about the best thing around...

I however love the fact that the concept is truly a regular cab. Maybe if they make the lighting in a regular cab they'll introduce it into the main F150 lineup...

I'm sort of biased given that I own an 04 F-150, but I like the new body. I like the Gen 2 body, but the pics I've seen of the Gen 3 exterior have me drooling.

Well, now I wouldn't say that it quite compares to the Asstek. Come on now, it's not THAT bad. It's actually grown on me quite a bit since my original post, and I really like it now, especially considering the numbers it puts up, it looks like some kind of exotic truck.

There are advantages to having a bench seat in a pickup truck that I am not willing to give up. I like the look of the console in the new trucks; but, my girlfriend(s) used to complain that the console cut into their ribs, when I had my Firebirds or Camaro.

The exterior looks like ass compared to the current Lightning!

I too think the Gen 2 Lightning is the best looking. Hell I didn't even like Fords until I saw the Gen 2 body style. But as I continue to look at the Gen 3 and the numbers it is(suposed) going to put out, it gets sexier and sexier to me.
