Does anyone else think the steps Ford is taking with their new L is following along the lines of the Ram srt10? I hope this thing isn't going to cost 40 plus grand. The L, in it's current form is the baddest vehicle on the road. Expensive to some but in the range of most. Hope Ford isn't going too far just to win a battle on paper and for bragging rights.

nope thw L isn't going to be over 40 grand I bet. I would picture that just under 40 grand though.

nope I think they will have the 22" for sure, the aluminum block for sure, and the IRS is right off the expy so why not?
I don't want a 6 speed either, the new 5 speed auto would be nice with upgraded clutches and all. I think I would rather have the 9.75 rear end still though.

I bought them along long time ago back in 99 when they first came out. They don't make them anymore and you can't find them anywhere I don't think. Thats the one reason I do like them so much, nobody really has them all that much, HEHEHEHE.
I got them from the online store back when they had them.
Why no irs....because half-shafts break too easily on 03 cobras,i have witnessed two of them doing this on there first or second run, while launching on stock rubber.
Can you imagine what the tourqe of the future L will do to the half-shafts...especially after pulleys, slicks ect.
There will be no irs on the future L....trust me.
I don't know why anyone other than road course racers would want one anyway.
IRS + roadcourse =
Solid axle + 1320=

I definetly agree with you in the L being better with a solid axle, but I wouldn't be suprized if ford did that. I really don't want a IRS for mine, I don't road race mine.
